**Position Overview:**

As an HGV and Plant Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing and servicing our fleet of heavy goods vehicles and construction plant machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are in top working condition to meet operational demands and safety regulations. 

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and plant machinery to identify and address potential issues
  2. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and perform necessary repairs and replacements
  3. Complete scheduled servicing tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments and filter replacements, in a timely manner.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and hours worked
  6. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules

**Qualifications:**

  1. Proven experience as an HGV and/or plant fitter, with a strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills
  2. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy vehicles and machinery
  3. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of HGVs and plant machinery
