**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Operate excavator equipment to perform various excavation and earthmoving tasks.
  2. Dig trenches, ditches and foundations according to project specifications.
  3. Load and unload materials using the excavator. 
  4. Perform routine maintenance on the excavator to ensure its proper functioning.
  5. Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
  6. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure project success.

**Qualifications:**

  1. Proven experience as an Excavator Operator or similar role.
  2. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of excavator operations.
  3. Valid NPORS or CPCS.
  4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project plans. 
  5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  6. Physical stamina to withstand long hours of operating heavy machinery.
  7. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

HGV and Plant Fitter

Job description

**Position Overview:**

As an HGV and Plant Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing our fleet of heavy goods vehicles and construction plant machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are in top working condition to meet operational demands and safety regulations.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and plant machinery to identify and address potential issues.
  2. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and perform necessary repairs and replacements.
  3. Complete scheduled servicing tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and filter replacements, in a timely manner.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
  6. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
  7. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

 

**Requirements:**

  1. Proven experience as an HGV and/or plant fitter, with a strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
  2. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy vehicles and machinery.
  3. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of HGVs and plant machinery.
  4. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  7. Flexibility to work overtime and respond to emergency breakdowns as needed.
  8. Valid driver’s license for car and HGV and relevant certifications in HGV maintenance and repair (desired but not essential).

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting Concrete and Aggregate materials to various locations. This position requires a valid HGV Class 2 License, CPC and experience in Bottle Concrete Mixer or Tipper driving.

Training for operation of Concrete Bottle Mixer can be provided for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

– Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

– Load and unload concrete and aggregates

– Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods

– Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks

– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

– Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

– Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols

 

Experience:

– HGV Class 2 License

– Up to date CPC

– Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in Concrete Bottle Mixer and Tipper driving

– Clean driving record with no recent traffic violations

– Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles

– Strong knowledge of road safety regulations

– Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
